Mumbai, another much better analysis

Good solid analysis from the folks at Black Five.

I still suspect a small amount of support came from Al Queda, most likely in the form of propaganda and motivation. Islamic extremists tend to look up to those pukes.

Big GUN.

In honor of Firearms Friday, I bring a clip of the 7 barrel 30mm cannon known as the GAU-8 Avenger to this blog. Nothing beats being there for the show in person, but this kinda fills the niche, and is one of the things I'm rather nostalgic about; yet I don't miss it enough to re-up in the service!

27NOV08, a place setting...

The POW/MIA Table
You may notice this small table here in a place of honor. It is set for one.
This table is our way of symbolizing that members of our profession of arms
are missing from our midst. They are commonly call POW's or MIA's…we
call them brothers.
They are unable to be with us this evening and so we remember them.
This table set for one is small... it symbolizes the frailty of one prisoner
against his oppressors.
The table cloth is white... it symbolizes the purity of their intentions to
respond to their country's call to arms.
The single rose displayed in a vase reminds us of the families and loved ones
of our comrades in arms who keep faith awaiting their return.
The red ribbon tied so prominently on the vase is reminiscent of the red
ribbon worn on the lapel and breasts of thousands who bear witness to their
unyielding determination to demand a proper accounting for our missing.
A slice of lemon is on the bread plate... to remind us of their bitter fate.
There is salt upon the bread plate... symbolic of the family's tears as they
The glass is inverted... they cannot toast with us tonight.
The chair is empty... they are not here.
Remember... all of you who served with them and called them comrades, who
depended on their might and aid, and relied on them... for surely... they have
not forsaken you.

...one of the few things I do miss about chow halls. I don't have the ability to set this place, but every chow hall I've been to state side has this special place. Don't stop praying for them, don't stop hoping for they're return!

GWOT, the falling sky, and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Some links to headlines here and around the World.

India, 82 people killed, more wounded, at least 8 separate locations in one massive complex attack; that terminology from Iraq. Complex attacks involve both IEDs and enemy forces in direct firefights.
-BBC Report
-Times Online UK
Being right next to Pakistan, which is a virtual haven for Al-Queda due to the unstable environment, it won't come as any surprise if the Deccan Mujahideen who have claimed responsibility are just another subsidiary of Al-Queda and other terrorist groups who operate in the area. While not all terror groups are closely linked, most are linked to some degree. Terror networks are strange beasts with many names, cover names, and side names for groups of people with the same goals and motivations for they're terror. In fact, there isn't a middle eastern or Islamic government that doesn't have some terror organization that they sponsor to some degree... Such is the way they think, its just an extension of said governments intelligence network.

As always, we need to watch out at home too! WCBSTV.com report.

On KFAR Chat today, "Samm" and a few of us were discussing meteorites, now, we have some fascinating articles and video from Fox News about a meteorite in Alberta Canada.

Video is wake up call really, to be ready for the next big rock from the sky! Here is another interesting article.

Not a bad use for our missile defense system research here at Ft. Greely! Damn Green Peace and they're protesting nuclear tipped anti-missile missiles! Can't they see that this could SAVE THE EARTH (okay, maybe just mankind and life as we know its butt on this planet...). But then, maybe PETA and Green Peace are working for an alien race that will take over our planet when humans are wiped out... (Twilight Zone Theme here... Or X-Files theme).

Got to love the end of the world Doomsday Apocalypse scenarios going around these days...

Well, I've got our turkey in the process of final thawing and I'll roast it good tomorrow (baring any rocks from space hitting my house in which case I'm not going to worry about it, but then, come to the house the turkey will be well done and flash cooked...).

I've now turned to the Dark Side....

...I turned in my HP Pavilon with Windows Vista to Office Max. I took my cash across the street to Machause, and now I own an iMac. So far, so good. It hasn't crashed yet, and I haven't had to call technical support.

Works right out the box!

Gee, what fricken good idea.

Second Vista Computer...

Sorry about the lack of updates of this blog lately. I should have some here shortly. However, I made the mistake of 'up-grading' to a desktop computer with the virus known as Microsoft Windows Vista... So I'm resolving that mistake with the company who made the computer, in fact, I'm on my second Vista box... I've already returned on unsatisfied to the retailer...

...Painter X on its way though... So I'll get some great artwork done eventually when I get it going.

Foot in mouth disorder from North East...

...No wonder the North East has contributed the least to the US Military in recent decades beyond being the location of several prestigious military academies.

From Bangor Maine:
"I don't want to sound like an ad, a public service ad on TV, but the fact is if you can read, you can walk into a job later on. If you don't, then you've got, the Army, Iraq, I don't know, something like that. It's, it's not as bright. So, that's my little commercial for that.
-Steven King (see my Simple Analysis page for my cartoon of this one...)

Of course, who could forget the Senator from Mass of 2 s#$#s John F. Kerry:

I certainly hope Glenn Beck's new book outsells Steven Kings new book just to spite the jerk...

A real look at Iraq....

Outside the Wire!

I think I'm going to buy this. But then, I might get too mad...

This is one of the reasons I'm an angry war vet. I saw results like this happen from just about front-row seats... I left early in the surge, and saw the VAST IMPROVEMENT piecemeal, I listened out our President-Elect call the Surge a failure. There lies my dis-enfranchisement, there lies my fury, and there lies all my anger at the government. Folks said the President was out of touch with reality, well they have their heads up their collective arses when it came to Iraq. Our President-Elect is out of touch with reality when it comes to Iraq, and National Security in general.

172 SBCT Memorial Video

11th Hour of the 11th Day of the 11th Month....

Today its been three years since US Army SSG Stephen Sutherland died in a rollover accident in Al-Anbar Province serving with the 4-14 Cavalry of the 172nd SBCT. My prayers go out to his widow Maria and his children.

One moment of silence observed; Taps have been played, tears are shed, friends, brothers and sisters in arms are remembered. Life will go on again tomorrow, today we remember. Life is never the same this day every year after coming back from Iraq.

Today I shall have the honor of meeting Kevin Karella, Jason's father and some of his family; and I'll pass on a picture I've drawn for them in honor of they're loved one!

God Bless,

Michael "Sudsy" Sutherland

Homeschool, or Private School... Screw public school!

But then, I survived as a Bush supporter during the Clinton years in school growing up, something about abortion that makes teachers cringe a bit and back off due to the controversial nature of that subject. It was good that my parents could make teachers cringe in every public school I attended. By junior high, I was able to know enough to speak about national security even when the teachers were skeptical (in fact, my creative writing teacher laughed at the notion that terrorists would ever strike the United States back in 1999...).

Fr. Corapi makes a good point about Catholic School students and Catholic Public School students though. "You want to see children stand up for the teachings of the Catholic Church, send them to public school". Reason being, there are far too many rebellious Catholic School Alumni who stray off they morals of they're parents and sell out to the world, becoming mindless liberals. However, there are exceptions to the rule stated, my wife is a Catholic School Alumni, and she's Conservative Catholic as ever (otherwise we'd never have married), and I'm a product of fighting my way through public school as and finding out what Conservative really means (proving Fr. Corapi to be correct in his assessment!).

I'll be working tomorrow...

...So if you need some ammo, high capacity magazines, barrel shrouds, an AR-15, or shiny new Ruger 10/22 targeted by the latest gun ban legislation come in in to Frontier Outfitters!

As always, buy what they are going to ban, its an investment! You'll watch the value climb! I guess you can say this is the good ol' days with whats coming up.

John Lott's Blog post on Fox News is a good read.

That and Radley Balko's blog about third party candidates getting the shaft is another fine read. This election, I did vote for a third party candidate for US Senate due to the lack of respect for life from the Democrat, and the felony conviction of the Republican. I believe they do need to be treated as equals and not bastard children by our government and media.

However, the fat lady has yet to sing.........

Voter intimidation, it ain't the white guys doin' it!

First video

Second video, police have a discussion with unauthorized 'security' personnel

Ain't that just dandy!

Well, no such thing happened in North Pole, guys like that would've been shot!
